Paul's story
Paul Xiong’s life story reflects resilience, sacrifice, and the promise of the American Dream.
Paul’s father fought alongside the United States during the Secret War in Laos, when many Hmong soldiers supported American forces. Like many Hmong families who stood with the United States, Paul’s family paid a heavy price for that alliance.
After losing his parents at a young age and growing up as an orphan, Paul learned early the importance of perseverance, education, and community support. These experiences shaped his belief that strong communities and the freedoms protected by the Constitution create opportunity.
